So, I already haven't been very active here except for occasionally commenting and lurking communities. But I just got back from the Skyrim midnight release, ahhh. I'm reminded of why I usually like going to these releases, they're actually fun. It's like a mini-convention. All the local Elder Scrolls fans were out and pretty much camping outside the Game Stop (seriously, there was a guy with a grill out there and people with chairs, lol). I guess there were supposed to be other releases today, but everyone was there for the same thing. We even had an Orc cosplayer.

They had food, and some game to knock over cans with rubber bands (they were doing some kind of raffle) and I got to talk to a few local friends I don't get to see often. c:
All is good.

Anyway, my pre-order copy came with this beautiful burlap-like map that has the most wonderful texture to it.

Cut for kind-of big image )

Also, it's PC, so I'm waiting for the install. That's the only reason why I'm still puttering around online instead of actually playing at this point. lol

Brb someday.

Whoa, I haven't updated in forever. I've been busy though, with school and that so yeah. Good news is I'm down to 5 classes now (out of the 10 I had) and I finished my one college class. :D I won't be graduated until sometime in July though.

Anyway, I just have some fandom rambling to do right now, mostly involving E3 and the glorious Skyrim.

E3 2011: Gameplay Walkthrough (Stream) HD
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim E3 Gameplay Demo

They're actually two different videos. They use roughly the same footage, but you get to see and hear different things in them.

Also, the music I'm listening to right now reminds me: we have had next to no actual previews of Skyrim music. Just the Dragon Born song in the first trailer. It's pretty awesome on its own, but I am really looking forward to hearing more, because (of course) Jeremy Soule is still composing the music for it.

If you go to the official website (might not work that well on Firefox for some reason though), you can also see some gorgeous screenshots and concept artwork. Seriously, this stuff is extremely pretty.

~Excite~

Hoho, it seems I have been missing some rather awesome news lately from the frequent internet-breaks I've been taking.

I was reading through some bands' websites when I came across this: Kotiteollisuuden Uusi Albumi Valmis

Kotiteollisuus has a new album~ omgyay

And this here is a new single from that album: Soitellen sotaan

*edit: Also, Tuomas Holopainen is a guest musician on this album. Again.

Additionally, I have a bit of Elder Scrolls art I sketched while at the college today.
It's one of my Morrowind characters (Havalu), who only looks this way because of a few mods (lol).

To give credit where credit is due, the mods that helped create the character that this is based on are House Dagoth Bonemold Armor, Soti's Better Dreamers, and Westly's Master Headpack (hair).

Here lies the arting~ )

Clearly, it's not exactly like the actual bonemold armour. I made it a bit more female-fitting on purpose, plus I didn't have a screenshot to reference from at the school. :P

It's kind of sketchy and unfinished though, but it's not the best thing ever anyway.

I thought it would be fun to play as a House Dagoth priestess, since all of my other MW characters have been good guys. I like Havalu very much though and I absolutely loooove Soti's dreamer mod. If you're a Morrowind player, I would recommend it, if you don't already have it.

Heyo, me again, here to blab over fandom and school as per usual.

Some Fandom Things (FMA and TES, involves Homunculi, mods, and screenies) )

(lol, hey Admia you will need to update your beta version of this.)

Any suggestions or critiques would be good (and I already know Envy's hair isn't right, hurr. I fix later).

School (Short this time, promise) )

Oh well, enough whining.
